“TabPurr - Auto Group & Restore” is a locally running tab-manager extension. This policy explains how it handles data.

Your data stays on your device

  • The extension reads tab titles and URLs to group tabs by site, search full titles, and save/restore workspaces. This information lives only in your browser (memory and chrome.storage.local) and is never uploaded to any server.
  • It does not collect browsing history, page content, personal identifiers, or location. There are no accounts and no sign-up.
  • It sends nothing , no analytics, no crash reports, no telemetry; no ad, analytics or payment SDK; no remote scripts are loaded.
  • Custom background images are compressed locally and stored in chrome.storage.local; they are never uploaded.
  • Pro activation codes are verified locally with a P-256 signature , no online activation, and the code never appears in any network request.

Permission purposes

  • tabs / tabGroups: read tab titles/URLs for grouping, search and restore.
  • storage: store settings, workspaces, backups and activation state locally.
  • favicon: show site icons from the browser's local cache.
  • alarms: schedule local automatic backups.
  • scripting + optional host permissions: no website access is requested at install. Chrome asks once, only if you enable the on-page floating ball; turning the feature off unregisters the content scripts.
  • contextMenus: the right-click command that merges selected tabs into a mixed group.

Deleting your data

You can delete workspaces and backups from the manager page, or remove the extension to erase all local data. No remote copy exists, so deletion is complete.
